We are recruiting for a Multinational Company (pharmaceutical) located in Madrid (Nuevos Ministerios):

-Senior Overseas Accountant:
Specific Roles:

-Ensuring that all financial transactions are appropriate to the company’s business activities and are properly authorised
-Ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded on Lawson in accordance with local and US accounting regulations and Company reporting requirements
-Meeting reporting deadlines
-Review payroll return monthly
-Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
-Ensures deadlines are met for statutory, Vat, payroll returns and payments
-Assisting with audits as necessary
-Assisting with any correspondence to and from the local tax authorities
-Approve payments and ensure the back-up is in place
-Review and implement internal controls and company policy
-Keep up to date with local tax, statutory and legal requirements and notify line management in the UK of changes
-Accurate recording of all financial transactions connected with the company’s local activities
-Payment of liabilities that are appropriate and have been authorised in accordance with the procedure
-Implementation of new processes and technology as required
-Supervision of accounting assistant
-Maintains the sub-ledgers on Lawson in accordance with good accounting practices
-Liaise with Tax Manager to ensure all necessary corporate tax returns and payments are submitted on time
